Saturday is the big day, the pups start leaving the nest.

The puppies turn 8 weeks old on Friday. We have two families coming in Saturday afternoon to pick out their puppies. I’ve been finishing up the puppy packets and getting a little sad that the time is getting near. They are going to great homes, and both families can’t wait to meet their new puppy. I know it’s the best thing for the puppies to have their own families to love them and not have to compete with 8 other puppies for attention. It will be sad, yes. I’ll shed a few tears, yes. But I have pictures and updates to look forward to as they grow.

And I keep telling myself as each puppy goes to its new home that it will be less and less work for me and my husband. I guess that’s one way to look at it.

I’ve just posted individual posts with lots of pictures on each puppy. Enjoy!

I’m off to snuggle puppers before going to bed!

  1. Laura, Great posts and great pictures. I feel your struggle to let them go. Kim

  2. Laura,

Thank you for posting the puppy pictures. It has been wonderful watching them grown even though I don’t live close to you. It was almost like watching my Scooter when he was smaller. Thank you again.

Hi Laura…I know it will be hard to say goodbye, and I won’t blame you if there are tears. You have done a great job loving and socializing the puppies. We’ll be sure to keep in touch and post pictures, so it won’t have to be a total goodbye. We love all the latest action shots! Looks like Patches has lift off too!
